Shameeka Emanuel is a passionate advocate for corporate social responsibility in technology, driving impactful initiatives across the industry. She is currently a Board Member at Piper, an award winning EdTech Company that blends physical building and virtual storytelling to inspire the next generation of innovators. Previously, Shameeka was the Membership Strategy & Tech Team Lead for Google's Global Women Techmakers (WTM) Program, where she spearheaded efforts to expand membership and empower women in tech through enhanced resources and community building. While at Google, Shameeka played a key role in Google's Code Next program, leading the instructional team and fostering a supportive learning environment for aspiring developers. Her commitment to education extends to her tenure at Amazon, where she served as a Senior Product Manager for Amazon Future Engineer. In this role, she led the launch of innovative products that expanded access to Computer Science education in K-12 settings while championing social impact within the tech sector. Prior to her roles at Amazon and Google, Shameeka gained valuable experience at Intel Corporation. She held diverse positions, including validating four processors in the Xeon Server Family, showcasing her technical expertise and problem-solving abilities. As the Diversity Scholar Program Manager at Intel, she demonstrated her dedication to fostering a more inclusive and equitable workplace. Shameeka's commitment to advancing inclusion in computing is further exemplified by her leadership roles in the academic community. She served as the Program Chair for the 2023 ACM Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference and will continue to lead as the General Program Chair for this year's conference. She is also a Board Member at Piper, an award winning EdTech Company that blends physical building and virtual storytelling to inspire the next generation of innovators. Shameeka currently lives in Atlanta, GA and is married with 3 children. In her spare time, Shameeka enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as playing the trumpet, singing, and dancing.
